OUR DOCTORS
Howard S. Charney, D.D.S. 
Dr. Charney is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery,   University of Maryland Dental School, Baltimore, Maryland. He attended a General Practice Residency program at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He was formerly a clinical instructor at University of New Haven Dental Hygiene School. He has been in private practice in Hamden for over 18 years. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Kenneth Fratarcangeli, D.M.D.

Dr. Fratarcangeli received degrees from Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts and the University of Pennsylvania  School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his three year service as a dentist in the U.S. Navy, he completed a General Practice Residency at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. He was formerly in private practice in the Trumbull area for over two years and has been in practice with Dr. Charney initially as an associate and now as a partner for over 1 1/2 years. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Come meet our caring, friendly staff. They are here to help with all your family’s dental needs.

Location

Our office is conveniently located 6/10 of  a mile from Town Hall and is easily accessible from Exit 60 off Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) or Exit 10 of I-91. 

Office Hours

Our office hours are:
Monday-Thursday: 8:30 am– 5:30 pm
Friday or Saturday: 8:30 am-12:30 pm
*Emergencies: Anytime

Directions

From Merritt Parkway (North or South):
Take Exit 60. At bottom of ramp take left onto Dixwell Avenue. Go straight through 5 lights (Approximately 1 mile). We are on the right just past The Giggle Garden Day Care.

From I-91 (North or South):
Take Exit 10. Once on connector, immediately get into right lane and take 1st exit (Exit 1 State St.). At light, take a left. Go to next light and take left onto Hartford Tpke. Go to next light and take right onto Dixwell Avenue. Go straight on Dixwell for approximately 1.6 miles. The office will be on the left.

Insurance 

We accept most insurance plans and participate with Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Delta Dental of New Jersey. We will gladly process any insurance claims for you at no extra charge.

Payment 

We will work with you to find a way for you to comfortably afford the treatment you need and want. We accept most major credit cards for easy payment. We also have several interest-free financing options available. We offer a 5% courtesy discount for payment in full at the time of service. As always, our senior patients receive a 5% courtesy discount.
